ABOUT
Iron Roots Equestrian gets it's name from Vogel's "roots" on Iron Mountain in Pike, New Hampshire. She spent her childhood and early equestrian days learning to ride "by the seat of her pants" through the 1,800 acres of forest that surrounded her home and the modest barn where she kept her first pony. Vogel's formal training in the United States Pony Club and British Horse Society programs has since developed her into diverse, capable and confident young horse woman. Her main pursuit is Eventing but she also holds a healthy interdisciplinary appreciation. She enjoys picking up tricks of the trade from other disciplines and finding their value and application for her own horses and program. Some of Vogel's innate strengths are working with young, spirited, or difficult horses and a knack for simple and clear delivery of instruction for her students. Vogel feels it is critical to the sport and industry, to not forget how you got where you are as you set your sights on future aspirations. She hopes to find ways to give back to the people and programs that made her who she is today. Vogel will always have a special place in her heart for "barn rat" kids just like her.
